Ruth Evelyn Crouse

Crouse, Ruth Evelyn, age 86, of South Brookfield, Queens County, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 8th, 2016, at Meadow Brook Manor, South Brookfield.
Born in Molega Mines, Queens County, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Cecelia (Jones) Whynot.
Ruth was very well known for her axe throwing ability and was often found competing or cheering for her husband Eddie at many competitions. Over the years Ruth worked many different jobs, she worked for Nova Scotia Lands and Forest, harvesting Christmas trees and at a glass bottle factory. Ruth spent many years caring for her parents and siblings in their later years.
She is survived by a sister, Georgina Oickle, of Caledonia.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Edgar “Eddie”; sisters Verna Hanley, Mae Osborne, Laura Wamboldt, Myrtle Watton; brothers Alvie, Clarence, Louis, Irvin, Fraser, and Gladwin.
A Celebration of Ruth’s Life will be held on Sunday, November 13th, 2016, at 2:00 p.m., from Chandlers’ Funeral Chapel, Liverpool. Reverend Vic Adams officiating. Burial will be in Chelsea Cemetery.
