COOMBS – Diane Louise, 76, of Milton, Queens County, passed away peacefully on December 9th, 2021 at Queens General Hospital, Liverpool with her family by her side.
Born in Milton, Diane was the daughter of the late Frank “Wilson” and Beulah (Levy) Whynot.
In her younger years, Diane was very involved with her church. She was a Municipal Counselor for a number of years, a long time member of the Children’s Wish foundation and President and long time member of the Hank Snow Society. She loved spending time with her family and dear friends. Diane truly loved the time she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Diane leaves behind her loving and devoted husband Aubrey of 56 years. Her son David (Nicole) of Bridgewater, her daughter Karen (Burns) Thompson of East Port L’Hebert. Three grandchildren Andrew, Ben and Katie and two great grandchildren Evelyn and Adam. Brother Brian (Nancy) of Milton and Aunt Beatrice of B.C.
Besides her parents, Diane was predeceased by her baby brother Harold and several aunts and uncles.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday December 14, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Chandlers’ Funeral Chapel, Liverpool. Burial will follow in the Milton Community Cemetery. Donations in Diane’s memory can be made to MADD or to the local chapter of the Make A Wish Foundation. Online condolences may be made to www.chandlersfuneral.com. Live streaming of Diane’s service will be available on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m.
Diane’s family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to all the doctor’s and nurses at Queens General Hospital, Liverpool for the great care she received.
Those attending Diane’s service are asked to provide the funeral staff with proof of vaccination, identification and contact tracing information. Also, all are to bring a mask and practice social distancing whenever possible.
