CONRAD – Faye Marie, 70, of Port Mouton, Queens County, passed away peacefully in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool on Wednesday, February 16, 2022.
Born in Southwest Port Mouton, Faye was a daughter of the late Lockie and Irene (Bowers) Burgess.
Faye was a former cashier with Sobeys and spent time on the water with her husband banding lobsters and fishing. Faye enjoyed camping and sitting around the camp fire of which she was chief fire maker, boating, scrapbooking and walking on the beach. She was a member of Trinity Anglican Church in Liverpool and enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and her cat Puddin.
Faye is survived by her husband James; her daughters Selena (Daniel) Verge of Mersey Point, Katherine (Timothy) Whynot of Milton and her son James Jr. (Erin) of Port Mouton. Her grandchildren Connor, Cami, Ainsley and Bowen Verge; Zachariah Whynot and Jacob and Ryan Conrad. Her sisters Sandra (Charles) Gatzke and Carol (Allan) Davis, both of Hammonds Plains; Oressa Murphy of Clementsport and Joanne (Stanley) Conrad of Bridgewater. Her brothers Patrick (Lucy) of Port Joli, Mac (Darlene) of Upper Rawdon and Gordon (Cathy Williams) of Port Mouton.
Besides her parents, Faye was predeceased by her infant son Jamie.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in Chandlers’ Funeral Chapel, Liverpool. Reverend Cherry Workman officiating. All those attending Faye’s service are asked to bring a mask, proof of vaccination, provide contact tracing information, hand sanitize and social distance whenever possible.
