Sheldon Courtney Cohoon

COHOON – Sheldon C., 84, of Port Medway, Queens County, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 31, 2021 in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool, NS.
Born in Eagle Head, Queens County, Sheldon was a son of the late John and Joy (Conrad) Cohoon.
Sheldon grew up in Port Medway and enjoyed life with his parents at the store. He enjoyed doing all things that boys and teenagers do on a bicycle with his buddies in a small village. Sheldon fished with Erin Whynot for five years before moving on to sail on the gypsum boats. For five years, Sheldon sailed to various ports of call where he saw a lot of the world and many different and beautiful places. From there, Sheldon went to work security for Bowater Mersey Paper Company Limited at the gate until his retirement.
Sheldon loved to walk in the woods; getting in his speed boat and spending time on Great Island. He loved nice cars and going for drives around the area. Sheldon will be remembered by everyone as a devoted son to his mother, Joy and everyone will have special memories of him.
A private graveside service has been held in Trinity Anglican Cemetery with Reverend James Haughn officiating. Donations in Sheldon’s memory may be made to a charity of your choice. Online condolences may be made through www.chandlerfuneral.com.
