CONRAD - C. Wesley, 91, of Port Medway, Queens County, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.
Born in West Berlin, Wesley was the son of the late Charles and Adelia (Colp) Conrad.
Wesley was a former foreman of a large factory in Toronto before returning to Nova Scotia to begin a new career as a fisherman. Wesley was a member of the Port Medway Volunteer Fire Department for 43 years, where he called bingo and also tended bar for many firefighting functions. He enjoyed hunting and was known as a quiet family man who would give the shirt off his back.
Wesley is survived by his sons John (Angela) Bolton of Cole Harbour, N.S. and Stephan Bolton of Port Medway, grandchildren Jeffrey (Carol) Bolton of Cambridge, N.S., Erika (Trevor) Hosking of Upper Sackville, N.S. and Jo- Anne Bolton of Liverpool, N.S., great grandchildren, Hayden (Ali) Bolton, Amber, Ben, Dillon Bolton, Abigail Hosking and Damien.
Besides his parents, Wesley was predeceased by his wife Joan.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS. A celebration of Wesley’s life will take place Saturday, November 23, 2024 starting at 5:00 p.m. from the Port Medway Fire Station, Port Medway. A private family interment will be held at a later date. Family flowers only, donations may be made to the Port Medway Fire Department.
