Catherine ‘Elaine’ Wall (nee Colp)

Elaine Wall passed away peacefully on April 16, 2025 in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool after an extended battle with medical issues.

Born in West Berlin, Queens County, NS, Elaine was a daughter of Helen Marie (Selig) Colp of West Berlin and the late Brenton Palmer Colp.

Elaine lived in Toronto for a few years, however, Cowie Hill was her home for the majority of her adult life where she worked at General Insurance then moving over to HRM. Her passion was music and she was the singer in a band called Crystal Fire. She also sang on a TV show called Roundabout.

While she didn’t have any children of her own, she was surrounded by 6 nephews and nieces and 8 grand nephews and nieces who she frequently spent time with.

The Colp homestead in West Berlin was always a place for entertainment hosting family and friends with music and laughs. Elaine was always available with her soulful voice and her amazing sense of humor.

Besides her mother Helen, Elaine is survived by 3 younger sisters: Wendy (Kenneth) Farmer, Verna (Ronald) Conrad and Pamela (Dale) Evans.

A celebration of Elaine’s life will be held Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. A private family interment will follow in St. John’s Anglican Cemetery, West Berlin. A reception will be held at the Port Medway Fire Department. Online condolences may be made below.
