Walter Joseph Carver

CARVER – Walter J., 68, of Harmony, Queens County, passed away peacefully in Queens General hospital, Liverpool on Tuesday, June 2, 2020.
Born in Caledonia, Walter was a son of the late Ormande and Theresa (Canning) Carver.
Walter was a truck driver for most of his working life working for various companies such as Willis Forrest, Bowaters, R&C Weare Logging and Shawn Rawding Excavation and Forestry as well as his own company Harmony Lake Trucking. Walter enjoyed going to the hunting camp, playing cards, darts and, in his younger years, playing basketball, softball and hockey. His passion was his ‘69 Chevelle and his ‘09 Harley.
Walter is survived by his companion of 37 years, Betty Lee Oickle and his children Channing Carver of Bridgewater, Tanya (Richard) Kinner of Kingston, NS and Aaron of Edmonton, AB. His grand children Alex, Kristin and Nathan Kinner. His sisters Gladys (Glen) Emish of Weyburn, SK and Marion (Blair) Baxter of Bridgewater.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS. At Walter’s request, there will be no funeral service. No flowers; donations may be made to North Queens Fire Association. Online condolences may be made to www.chandlersfuneral.com
