Joan Mildred Brewster

Brewster – Joan Mildred,  age 84, of Queens Manor, Liverpool formerly of Brooklyn, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 4, 2023, in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool.
Born in Harmony, she was a daughter of the late Leroy Sr. and Ruby (Frail) Mansfield.
Mom was an amazingly resilient woman who overcame many obstacles in her life with tremendous courage, dignity and grace. Joan’s greatest joy in life was her family and she greatly loved her grandchildren who were her life. There was never a party or social event she didn’t enjoy. Joan had many lifelong friends who she loved dearly. Joan was very musical having learned to play the piano by ear. She also enjoyed camping and playing cards. She was loved and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by daughters, Debbie (John) Herman of Brooklyn, Lisa (Scott) Mauger, and Kathy Brewster both of Liverpool; grandchildren, Stephanie, Jessica, Josh, Zack and Nick ; great grandchildren, Kenzie, Isaiah, Aleia, Wyatt and Jayce; sisters, Margaret Kelly of Blockhouse, Carolyn (Richard) Shupe of NB, Sylvia (Bruce) Fancy of Hibernia; brothers, Franklyn, Robert (Doreen) both of Harmony Mills, Ronald of Liverpool, Mitchell, Raymond (Annie) of Liverpool, Neal (Laverne) of Westfield, Douglas, Roger, Jerry, all of Antigonish and Edward of Alberta.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Edward; son, David Wayne; daughter, Donna Marie; sisters, Shirley, Betty, June, Sharon and Sally; infant brother Terry and brothers John, Donald, Leroy Jr. and Michael.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date. Family flowers only, donations may be made to the I.W.K. Children’s Hospital. Online condolences may be made to www.chandlersfuneral.com
