Alice “Rhodora” Boyd

BOYD – Alice “Rhodora” 97, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully in Surf Lodge, Lockeport on Thursday, February 26, 2015.
Born in Liverpool, she was a daughter of the late Leander and Maria (Conrad) Boyd.
Rhodora worked at various retail shops from age 16 until her retirement. She was a faithful member of Trinity Anglican Church, a member of the ACW and the Altar Guild. She was a life member of Mersey Branch #38, Royal Canadian Legion, Liverpool.
She is survived by her niece Gail (Frank) Jack of Liverpool and her great niece Coralee Turner (Robbie Brown) of Milton from the immediate area as well as many nieces and nephews across the country. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She was predeceased by her sisters Nettie, Violet, Cecilia, Pearl, Beatrice and Dorothy and her brothers Samuel, Chester, Gordon and Charles.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in Trinity Anglican Church. Reverend Judy Cross officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Family flowers only, donations may be made to Trinity Anglican Church or to the Queens General Hospital Foundation.
