Beyer; Carsten Jorg, age 60, of Port Medway, formerly of, Edmonton, Alberta, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 in Port Medway.
Born in Dannenberg, Germany, Carsten was a son of Erika (Schulz) Beyer of Germany and the late Juergen Beyer.
Carsten was a life long brick layer, starting at the age of 16 working with his Uncle Wilfred Beyer. After retiring in 2021, Carsten and Dana moved to Port Medway where they quickly immersed themselves in the community making many new friends. Carsten was always available to give a helping hand to anyone in need. He was a member of the Port Medway Fire Department and the local coffee club. Cartsen was a jack of all trades and a master of many, there was nothing he could not fix and he did not know the meaning of the word “can’t”. He enjoyed working around the house on remodeling and landscaping projects. He couldn’t sit still; he had to be doing something all the time. He enjoyed being in the outdoors and had a passion for fishing. He was so loved and will be greatly missed.
Carsten is survived by his loving wife, Dana; sons, Terrance of Edmonton, Alberta and Justin (Cadziana) of Lac la Biche County, Alberta; many grandchildren; brothers, Ralf (Chris) of Melbourne, Australia, Ben of Edmonton, Alberta.
Besides his father, Carsten was predeceased by a brother, Torsten.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. An informal celebration of life will be held at Port Medway Fire Hall Wednesday, March 22nd at 6:30 p.m. No flowers by request, donations may be made to the Port Medway Fire Department.
