Anton Joseph Snarby

d. October 19, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved son Anton Joseph Snarby on Saturday October, 19th, 2024.

Anton was born in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador to loving parents Stein and Simone (Ralph) Snarby of Greenfield, NS. Anton's love for his family both near and far has always been profound; keeping in touch with everyone throughout the years. The countless memories he has with his many aunts, uncles, and cousin are ones he cherished so deeply. Anton's childhood years were filled with so much joy, love, and laughter. Countless memories shared with all of the amazing friends he made throughout his life often reminisced about with joy in his eyes. Anton graduated from Liverpool Regional High School in 2005. He carried his memories of high school close to his heart. His passion for the sea brought him to Marine Institute in St. John's, Newfoundland where he pursued an education in Nautical Science following in the footsteps of so many family members before him. This lead him to many wonderful adventures on the sea meeting so many meaningful and unforgettable shipmates. His love for the outdoors can be seen shining through in all the beautiful, unforgettable memories he made hunting, fishing and genuinely appreciating nature and all the beauty and lessons it has to offer. Spending time at his parents’ “peace of heaven” on Ponhook Lake, was only one of the many things that brought him joy. Trips on the pontoon boat fishing, always filled with so much love, laughter, music and the occasional mushroom foraging adventures that his two girlies will carry with them. Anton's kind, ambitious nature brought so much to all those who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be very missed. May the music of his soul bring him peace in his final resting place. Besides his parents, Anton leaves behind his sister Elan Snarby of Liverpool, NS. Anton's pride and joy was his two beautiful daughters, Amelia Marie Snarby and Aubrey Synvonne-Ann Snarby as well the loving mother of his children Shawna Beck of Hunt's Point, NS. Anton was predeceased by his paternal grandparents Marie and Sigmund Snarby and maternal grandparents John and Helen Ralph.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS. Donations in Anton’s memory may be made to a charity of your choice. Online condolences may be made below.
