 It is with extreme sadness the family announces the passing of Amanda May Henley, 39, of Bridgewater, N.S. Mandy lost her battle with cancer while surrounded by family on Sunday, August 11, 2024 at the SSRH in Bridgewater, N.S.

 Mandy was born in Bridgewater to Joey Henley (Cathy) of Chelsea and Denise McAnally (Wayne) of Labelle.

 Mandy fought this disease with so much dignity. She truly is a warrior and tried so hard to stay here with everyone she loved. Mandy was an extremely private person with a gentle soul who loved quiet times, the beach and long drives. Mandy loved her children through any and all difficult times. Mandy will be very much missed by her work family at Ridgewood Home for Assisted Living where she lovingly provided care for all residents.

 With broken hearts she is survived by her children: Gabrielle Henley of West LaHave,

Kayla and Dylan Barkhouse of Chelsea. Brother Andrew Henley (Marissa) of Sylvan Lake, AB.

Niece and Nephew Miranda and Bryson Henley.

Paternal grandfather Everette Henley (Shirley) of Chelsea, Paternal grandmother Margie Scott (Otis) of Newcombville, Maternal grandmother Alice Orman of Italy Cross. Uncles Robbie Henley and Jack Orman, Aunts Darlene Croft and Brenda Orman. Special cousins Jason, Trevor and Nathan Croft, and Mariah Henley. Special friends J. Bartlett and Craig Baker.

 Predeceased by Maternal grandfather Charles Orman, Great-Grandparents Walter and Mabel Henley of Chelsea, Bernard and Irene Wamboldt of Italy Cross and Clifford and Jessie Slauenwhite of Middlewood. Uncle Charles Orman Junior.

 Visitation will be held on Friday, August 16, 2024 from 7 until 9 p.m. in Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in Chelsea United Baptist Church, Chelsea, NS. Pastor Cathy Uhlman officiating. No flowers by request, donations may be made to the Lodge that Gives, Halifax, which became Mandy's home away from home while undergoing treatment.

 Special thanks to Dr. Solomon, Drs. Corsten, Davidson and Wilkie and the staff at the Cancer Center, Halifax. Thanks to Palliative Care for their kindness and compassion. Online condolences may be made below.
