HATT - Allen “Allie” Winslow, 87, of Liverpool, Queens County, N.S., passed away peacefully on Monday, November 4, 2024 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville, N.S.
Born in Liverpool, “Allie” was a son of the late Winslow and Jenny (McNutt) Hatt.
Allie had a long career in the automotive industry spanning over 40 years working for both Liverpool Chrysler Dodge and T&C Pontiac as stockroom clerk manager. Allie enjoyed his Friday night outings at his camp but, by Saturday afternoon, he was back at home with Marnie to smooth things over with a Sunday drive. Allie enjoyed both hunting and fishing as well as his beloved Blue Jays and Maple Leafs whom he both cheered for and occasionally cursed at. Allie was a man that loved life. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be greatly missed by all of those who where lucky enough to have known him.
Allie is survived by his loving wife of 64 years Marnie, son Phil (Nancy) of Brooklyn, N.S., grandchildren Cody of Toronto, Brittany (Jon Conrad) of Bakers Settlement and Tyler of Mill Village, brother Gary (Agnes) of Bridgewater.
Besides his parents, Allie was predeceased by son Ricky, sister Helen Hatt and brothers Robert and David.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, N.S. A graveside service will take place Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in Milton Community Cemetery, Milton, Nova Scotia. No flowers by request, donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society. Online condolences may be made below.
